Clay...
After selecting the clay, it is necessary to extract it loose and to wait for nature to do its work of "pourrissage" of the material : it consists in letting clay get older outside during one year to be able to work it.
After that, we are going to be able to mix clay together ! Then dilute it until it becomes "barbotine" to be able to sieve it and to remove impurities.
The raw material is ready to make the stone floor.
Thus we make the "cakes" of clay, which will then be processed to obtain the desired shape. Once the tiles manufactured we will let them dry for several weeks. Once dry, they will bake in an oven at over 1050 degrees Celsius.
